JOURNAL OF THE HENRY MARTYN INSTITUTE The Journal of the Henry Martyn Institute (JHMI) (formerly the Bulletin of the Henry Martyn Institute) is a semi-annual publication of the Henry Martyn Institute: International Centre for Research, Interfaith Relations and Reconciliation, Hyderabad, India, (formerly the Henry Martyn Institute of Islamic Studies). JHMI provides a platform to promote inter-religious understanding with a special focus on the understanding of Islam. It also seeks to encourage writings on reconciliation between people of different faiths within an overall framework of peace and justice. Normally 108 pages per issue, the Journal publishes articles, review articles and book reviews. The editors welcome the submission of scholarly articles that examine Islam and other faith traditions both in India and worldwide, pluralism, inter-religious issues, reconciliation and peace making. Articles are also welcomed that examine the role of Islam, Hinduism and the nature of Christian-Muslim and Christian-Hindu relations and analysis of theological, historical social, political and cultural responses to Muslim interaction with Christians and other societies and cultures, both as minorities and as majorities. |
